LAKERS STAR METTA WORLD PEACE CO-FOUNDS SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER MARKETING COMPANY – Former NBA Star and Los Angeles Lakers Champion Metta World Peace partners with business leaders Branden Meck and Matthew Cohen to announce the formation of MarketKings – an influencer marketing company whose core services include influencer marketing, digital ads, content creation, and social media management.
Meck and Cohen have a backgrounds in talent management, with Meck starting Jump Start Talent Management in 2012, and Cohen joining the team in 2017.
“For years we got to see first hand how brands reached out to our clients, how much they paid, what type of posts they wanted from the influencers and most importantly what yielded a great ROI and what did not. We quickly started to recognize the underlying themes of what lead to a successful influencer campaign which in turn lead to the birth of MarketKings,” said Meck.
Their first-hand experience with influencer clients prompted them to found MarketKings, and partner with World Peace, whose work ethic from the basketball court carries over into how he is as an entrepreneur, according to Cohen.
“With Metta, no idea is too big and he loves to create. He understands the importance of digital marketing and content creation and he 100 percent practices what he preaches. He not only is a partner in our digital marketing company but he implements all of our services in his own brands, such as The Panda’s Friend and Gradelo,” said Meck.
MarketKings creates both branded content and short-form digital content for both brands and influencers. Memorable, original content is one of the key factors in separating MarketKings from its competitors on social media.
“We challenge anyone to get you more bang for your buck when it comes to our influencer marketing campaigns. Coming from the talent side we know the pain points of both the influencer and the brand when it comes to collaborating, which can have a huge effect on what the influencers will charge for any given post. We specialize in finding a happy medium that allows for the most optimal result,” said Meck.
When activating influencers, MarketKings’ goals for the brand include generating sales and creation of brand awareness. When it comes to digital ads, its sole focus is generating sales. Depending on a client’s target demographic and category of its brand, MarketKings will either run digital ads on Facebook, Instagram, Google or a combination of the three.
