Enhanced bottled water company, Essentia Water, donated over 32 tons of water to New York City residents affected by the devastating impact of Hurricane Sandy. Essentia worked with Feed The Children to distribute the water through its partner agencies, which are on the ground in New York and New Jersey providing disaster relief.
“Contributing to those in need has always been a cornerstone of our company,” said Ken Uptain, president of Essentia Water. “We feel fortunate that we’re in a position to help residents of New York stay hydrated, since that is the last thing they should worry about as they begin to rebuild their lives.” Essentia provided over 24,000 bottles of water, which will be distributed by Operation Compassion and Adopt-a-Block along with other basic necessities to victims in the New York neighborhoods of Jamaica, South Ozone Park and Manhattan.
Essentia has also partnered with Feed The Children to provide water to Northwest Harvest, which fights hunger in Washington state.
