MUSE/IQUE Announces 2025 Season: “Make Some Noise” Celebrates American Defiance and Hope

MUSE/IQUE has unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 season, Make Some Noise: Music and Stories of American Defiance and Hope – Transformative American Artists and Thinkers. This year’s lineup features six groundbreaking concerts celebrating artists and visionaries who challenged conventions to redefine American music and culture. The season kicks off March 21-23 with ACCORDING TO RAY: Ray Charles’s Message to America at the Mark Taper Forum, presented in collaboration with Center Theatre Group.

Curated by MUSE/IQUE’s Artistic and Music Director Rachael Worby, the season explores how bold creativity and artistic resistance have shaped American identity. “When artists and thinkers make loud choices and take bold stances, they teach us that nothing is impossible,” said Worby. “Ray Charles’s reinterpretation of America the Beautiful is a profound example of using music to inspire and challenge us.”

The 2025 season extends MUSE/IQUE’s two-year initiative to explore pivotal musical moments in American history. With performances at iconic Los Angeles venues such as The Huntington, The Wallis, Skirball Cultural Center, and Pasadena Memorial Park, the series showcases legendary figures who reshaped culture through their artistry.
