The theme for the third episode of NBC’s “Fashion Star” was “Something for Everyone,” and fashion retailer Express definitely found something for their customers thanks to design competition contestants Cassandra Hobbins and Hunter Bell.
“This episode was all about different shapes and sizes” explained Express buyer Erika De Salvatore, “and the Express customer comes in all shapes and sizes, so we look for things that come in a democratic fit.”
The first purchase by De Salvatore was the Geo Tunic designed by Hobbins. The loose-fitting, feminine blouse proved a winner on the “Fashion Star” runway with a slimming geometric print and keyhole back giving this tunic-length top elegance and ease.
“I thanked her for making a top!” said De Salvatore. “Most people made dresses, but tunics do really well at Express and she put her own spin on it!” Retailing for $39.90, the Geo Tunic is available in Soft Ivory, Warm Stone and Cayman Blue.
Another winning style was the leopard print Peplum Dress by Bell, a style De Salvatore called “the perfect combination of two of Express’s favorite trends: peplum and leopard.”
Featuring a high neckline and cinched waist that creates a flattering fit for any body type, the black and leopard print Peplum Dress retails for $78. Both items are available for purchase on express.com/fs.<express.com/fs>
