In its 18th year, L.A. Art Show proves again why it is the premiere platform for exhibiting the world’s finest works of art. Held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from January 23-27, this year’s show featured over 15,000 items in painting, sculptures, photography, vintage posters and video from a list of international galleries. Over 50,000 art aficionados attended this year’s event and were taken in by the vast array pieces covering 3 distinct styles of art: modern & contemporary, historic & traditional and fine print.
The opening night gala event was hosted by Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur and attracted a star-studded list guest. There was a cocktail reception hosted by James Franco.
Proceeds from the opening night gala benefited The Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization dedicated to building bridges between the professional arts community, and children whose lives are constrained by illness. Proceeds also generated support for the Getty Museum’s Title One bus transportation program that ensures that as many students as possible throughout Los Angeles can visit the Getty. – Report By Brent Lowe
