Wow! Where should I begin? First off, bravo to Jordan Peele and Blumhouse for making a great film! From the opening 2 minutes to the final 5 minutes of this film I was captured in a state of awe and fear. This film has effortlessly put on display a fear I think many people may not know they have but secretly harbor.
The story was not only suspenseful it was also comedic at all of the right moments as to somewhat disarm the feelings of the viewer that may be taken back by what just transpired on screen. This film is one of the first in a while that I can say feels like the execution of a complete thought perfectly displayed on the screen not only to entertain but to make one think. Get Out is a film with great foreshadowing and is unafraid to break a few traditional horror film rules while still giving you that classic horror feel. You begin to feel connected to the main character and by the climax you’re fully invested in his fight for survival..
I give Get Out a thumbs up. This movie delivers on its promises and exceeds all expectations. I definitely recommend you make your next trip to the movies to see Get Out.
