Recording Academy® & MusiCares® Pledge $1M for LA Fire Relief

In response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, the Recording Academy® and MusiCares® have launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with a $1 million pledge to support music professionals affected by the crisis.

Statement from Leaders
Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the Recording Academy and MusiCares, expressed the organization’s commitment:

“The music community is being severely impacted, but we will come together to support one another. Our organizations exist to serve music people because music is a powerful force for good in the world, and we hope the broader industry will rally to this cause.”

Laura Segura, Executive Director of MusiCares, added:

“MusiCares can help with short-term emergent needs for those currently displaced and provide long-term services as we assess the full impact on music professionals.”
