Popular health app connects consumers to a health expert on their mobile 24/. Vida Health today announced that its platform and marketplace of expert health coaches is now available for Android devices through Google Play. The popular app connects users with health experts to lose weight, get fit, and manage chronic illnesses through weekly video calls and daily text-based support. Vida has a range of health experts across 20 different conditions and a platform with over 50 evidence-based programs that can be highly personalized to adapt to the user’s health goals.
Vida is led by Silicon Valley veteran Stephanie Tilenius, former Kaiser Permanente and Stanford physician Connie Chen, and an engineering and design team from companies including Google, Twitter, LinkedIn, Salesforce, Practice Fusion and Counsyl. The Vida team has combined the best of healthcare and consumer tech.
Vida also announced it has rolled out a new in-app health assessment for Android and iOS to better match each user with the right health coach(es) from its network, with coverage across the United States, Europe, and Australia. Vida’s network of providers cover over 20 medical specialties and have a variety of clinical backgrounds including nurses, diabetes educators, medical assistants, nutritionists, personal trainers and physicians.
With this release, Vida further expands its multi-disciplinary, team-based care model by allowing consumers to connect with multiple specialized health experts simultaneously for the same price. For example, a consumer can get a nutritionist and a personal trainer or a diabetes educator to help them at the same time. In addition, users are able to invite family members, caregivers, and friends to participate in their private coaching teams.
“The overwhelmingly positive response to Vida from our iPhone and iPad users demonstrates strong interest in and need for expert, personalized, 24/7, mobile health coaching,” said Stephanie Tilenius, co-founder and CEO of Vida. “Our users requested expanded access to our mobile service and health experts and we’re happy to announce Vida is now available for Android with more services.”
Vida is HIPAA-compliant and provides highly personalized, expert care through its growing network of experienced health coaches that gets results.
