The Oscar’s Beauty Gala 2013 presented by BMW of North America celebrates “Inner & Outer” beauty at the poolside Beauty & Gifting lounge in a private home in Beverly Hills near the Beverly Hills Hotel. Oscar’s week brings on the glamour of the Red Carpet for Fashion and Beauty, but this event is not all about glamour alone; inner and outer beauty and the spirit of giving back are the reason that women from entertainment, business and philanthropy are gathering together to get out the message of hope and support for women through the HALF THE SKY MOVEMENT (www.halftheskymovement.org) Meg Ryan, Dianne Lane, Eva Mendez, America Ferrara and a number of extraordinary women join the honorable Hilary Clinton, Board Advisor to create awareness of women’s health, enterprise and empowerment in a number of countries that are in crisis in health, economics and enterprise. The message of hope is carried by the unique technology platform of HALF THE SKY MOVEMENT both on a local level through community support and through a number of worldwide charities. The celebrity ambassadors are part of a six part PBS series that focuses on a number of charities currently working with each of the Celebrity Ambassadors to create outreach and awareness.
A Day of Beauty Poolside and Styled After the Hollywood Regency
To begin the day, guests will be treated to a buffet breakfast then a tea and finally evening cocktails. The “Ai Spa” known for unique treatments including Bee Venom and Oxygen Facials known for delivering stimulative properties to tighten the skin. Celebrities consider this the “ultimate” facial to prepare for the Red Carpet season. Melanie Mar the original “Million Dollar Matchmaker” (www.melaniemar.com) will share her new eyelash enhancement product that encourages growth with botanical ingredients for longer, more lush lashes.
Billion Dollar Brows (www.billiondollarbrow.com) creators Natalie and Bob Plain will be presenting a unique eyebrow kit and shaping services so that guests can maintain that “Billion Dollar” signature look at home. Eye looks continue with Fairy Drops Mascara for those “doll like” lashes unique product from Japan (www.sephora.com). Luxury perfume from HAYARI Parfums Paris, present a Luxury Perfume Bar, featuring “Goldy” (a Red Carpet favorite) “Broderie” a feminine French traditional fragrance and their original, “Only for Her” an oriental scent rich with florals. Nabil Hayari, couture designer and creator of The House of Hayari will be presenting the fragrances himself. SORME Cosmetic Collections (www.sorme.com) are treatment and color collections named after Cleopatra’s “Kohl” eyeliner, the world’s oldest beauty product.
A “Red Carpet Ready” gift and tips provided by the Sorme Make-Up Team will help guests learn the “backstage” make up tips used by celebrities. Brambila, a luxury Hair Studio in Santa Monica will present hair stylings using UNITED hair products recently used by the hairstylists at New York Fashion Week. The nail studio, “Cosi Fan Tutte” of Laguna Beach is known for their expert nail art and designs. They will be presenting OPI’s hot new Mariah Carey Collection from inside their elegant Hollywood Regency tent decked in Chandliers. The beautiful scenting and fragrances of VOTIVO will envelope the Lounge with a luxurious air of scent from candles and home fragrances. Their Luxury Candle Bar will showcase the latest collection of home fragrances. VOTIVO Fragrance exhibitions have been shown all over the world from Cannes to Dubai in luxury hotels, exquisite homes and palaces. All of the gracious donations of products and services are there to support the utreach of the HALF THE SKY MOVEMENT.
