“Deion’s Family Playbook” is the fun-filled and compelling real-life story of celebrated football legend and baseball star, Deion Sanders. Deion, best known as “Prime Time,” is a single father raising his own five children while caring for five more in the hopes of providing them a better life. Raising ten kids isn’t easy, but with the help of his mother, Connie, and his longtime girlfriend, Hollywood producer Tracey Edmonds, Deion manages to contain the chaos…most of the time.
This season, Deion and the family start to settle into their new- and smaller-temporary home, but nothing comes easy. Whenever Shilo’s not developing his music career, he’s tormenting the others. Bossy is battling Shedeur over his “player” mentality. Florida’s mom, Sheka, moves to town and asks him to move in with her, but he’s struggling just to stay out of trouble. And when Connie flies the coop for a much needed girls weekend, Deion finally sets out to teach them about responsibility.
Back in Los Angeles, Tracey is hard at work with her new full-time co-hosting gig on “Extra!” but can’t seem to get any alone time with Deion in what’s proving to be a very demanding “new normal.” All the while, Deion and his beloved Prime Prep Academy are faced with their greatest hurdle yet with the looming threat of being shut down for good.
In the premiere episode, Deion receives a big surprise from Tracey during a trip to Los Angeles in the form of an unexpected reunion with her mother. Back in Dallas, Florida and Shedeur test Connie’s patience by breaking the rules while Deion is out of town.
“Deion’s Family Playbook” is produced by Edmonds Entertainment, Prime Time Media Ventures and Rogue Atlas Productions in association with Lionsgate Television. Executive producers are Tracey E. Edmonds, Eli Frankel, Deion Sanders and Rob Cornick.
