Entrepreneur, actor and record producer Nick Cannon will serve as the Entertainment Matters Ambassador for the 2015 International CES®, announced the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today. Sponsored by Variety, Entertainment Matters is a content-focused CES program developed for Hollywood’s film, television and digital communities. The 2015 CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies and is scheduled for January 6-9, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Entertainment Matters Ambassador illuminates CES’ focus on collaboration between the entertainment and technology industries. Cannon will advocate for uniting entertainment thought leaders, who are at the forefront of digital content creation, with innovative executives and entrepreneurs who are developing the next generation of breakthrough technology products and services.

Cannon is currently the host of America’s Got Talent at Radio City Music Hall, New York City, where he has helped draw in record-breaking viewership to the show. Behind the scenes, Cannon produces TV and film projects through his multi-media company NCredible Entertainment. Some of Cannon’s current projects include TeenNick’s Annual “Halo Awards,” which honors teenagers for outstanding community service, a music countdown show hosted by Cannon called “TeenNick Top 10,” and Cannon’s first studio film directorial debut “School Dance” for Lions Gate.
Cannon transitioned from acting to producing following critically acclaimed roles in “Drumline,” “Nick Cannon Presents Wild N Out,” the Emilio Estevez film “Bobby” which earned Cannon Variety’s 2007 “Breakthrough Actor of the Year” award, and “Up All Night,” which earned Cannon 2012 NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Supporting Actor.”
Cannon has expanded on his entertainment know-how by delving into the technology sector, creating products with heavy multimedia usage in mind. His collection of Monster “NCredible” high-end headphones are marketed to sound-quality aficionados, teens, and music artists looking for a product that synergizes style and top audio quality components. Cannon also created a line of tablets sold through QVC with affordability and features that enable connectivity on-the-go.
The Entertainment Matters program, which attracted more than 29,000 content and entertainment professionals to the 2014 CES, will feature exhibits, keynotes, panels and events critical to the entertainment community, including new content and entertainment-focused conference sessions.
CEA and its partners will produce the following Entertainment Matters focused sessions: 2nd Screen Summit at CES, presented by MESA, Content and Technology, presented by CEA, Digital Disruption, presented by ANA, Digital Hollywood, Entertainment Summit, presented by Variety, High Dynamic Range, presented by the Advanced Imaging Society, Mobile Content and Monetization, presented by Digital Hollywood and Top Tech Trends, presented by CEA.
