The star-studded luncheon featured some of the most prominent figures in the industry, including Amy Adams, Regina King, Ava DuVernay, and Rita Wilson, among others. Academy President Janet Yang opened the event, emphasizing the importance of fostering an inclusive environment in cinema. The event’s keynote, delivered by Selena Gomez, celebrated the strides women are making in reshaping the future of cinema. Gomez, a Grammy-nominated artist and producer, shared her insights on the importance of amplifying diverse voices in film.

Key Highlights from the Academy Women’s Luncheon:

Looking Ahead: Women in Film for 2025

As the film industry enters 2025, the luncheon highlighted a renewed focus on mentorship, diversity, and innovation. The Academy and CHANEL’s collaboration exemplifies a shared commitment to ensuring women’s voices remain at the forefront of cinematic storytelling. From inspiring short films to groundbreaking features, the fellowship aims to equip women with the tools and connections necessary to succeed.
