BikeLA Invites Angelenos to the 4th Annual LA BikeFest

Los Angeles is getting ready to ride! BikeLA—formerly known as the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition—invites cyclists, commuters, and bike enthusiasts to join the 4th Annual LA BikeFest, a vibrant celebration of bike culture, sustainability, and community connection. This year’s Pedal-Powered Happy Hour fundraiser brings together Angelenos who share a vision for safer, greener, and more bike-friendly streets.

Event Overview

Taking place at Highland Park Brewery, a quick roll from the Chinatown Metro station, LA BikeFest 2025 offers an afternoon of joy, music, and movement. The event encourages attendees to ride to and from the festival using the healthiest and most sustainable mode of transportation — the bicycle.

Highlights include:

  • $25 advance tickets ($35 at the door if available)

  • Complimentary bike valet

  • One complimentary drink (beer or non-alcoholic)

  • A limited-edition sky blue BikeLA bandana

  • A dynamic bike-themed silent auction featuring brands like Patagonia, Spurcycle, and Yakima

This community-powered event celebrates unity through cycling — from daily commuters to weekend warriors — and supports BikeLA’s mission to make Los Angeles County a safer, more inclusive place to ride.

Honoring 2025 Spoke Award Recipients

BikeLA will honor three inspiring changemakers with the Spoke Awards, recognizing their leadership in mobility equity and sustainability:

  • Hugo Soto-Martinez, Los Angeles City Councilmember (13th District), for launching the city’s first protected bike lanes in Hollywood as part of his “Access to Hollywood” initiative.

  • Metro Staff, for developing the new Rail to Rail Path—a 5.5-mile multi-use trail connecting South LA neighborhoods from Fairview Heights to Slauson Station.

  • ActiveSGV, a San Gabriel Valley-based nonprofit advancing active transportation, greenways, and e-bike programs for healthier, more connected communities.

Special recognition also goes to SAFE (Streets Are For Everyone), marking its 10th anniversary advocating for zero traffic fatalities, and Highland Park Brewery, the event’s longtime host.

Sponsors & Partners

The celebration wouldn’t be possible without BikeLA’s generous sponsors:

  • Gold Helmet Sponsor: Waymo, supporting safer, autonomous mobility.

  • Silver Helmet Sponsors: Tranzito-Vector, Bicycle Transit Systems, Lyft.

  • Bronze Helmet Sponsors: Laemmle Charitable Foundation, Lime, Serve Robotics.

These partnerships underscore a shared commitment to sustainability, accessibility, and innovation in urban transportation.

Words from BikeLA Leadership

“BikeFest is more than a celebration — it’s a statement about the kind of Los Angeles we’re building together,” says Eli Akira Kaufman, BikeLA Executive Director. “Every time someone chooses to ride, they’re choosing cleaner air, safer streets, and stronger communities.”
