Santa Monica, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2025): The Recording Academy® and CBS have announced two extraordinary television specials this fall that will celebrate the music, legacy, and cultural influence of two legendary acts: Earth, Wind & Fire and Cyndi Lauper.
A GRAMMY® Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire
Titled “A GRAMMY® Salute to Earth, Wind & Fire Live: The 21st Night of September,” the first special will air Sunday, Sept. 21 — an iconic date for fans of the legendary band. Recorded at the Hollywood Bowl, Earth, Wind & Fire will be joined by the world-renowned LA Philharmonic for a once-in-a-lifetime concert event.

The event will celebrate Earth, Wind & Fire’s nine GRAMMY® wins, decades of cultural impact, and timeless catalog. Executive producers include Ben Winston, Patrick Menton, and Harvey Mason jr. The production is a collaboration between Fulwell Entertainment and GRAMMY Studios.
A GRAMMY® Salute to Cyndi Lauper
The second special, “A GRAMMY® Salute to Cyndi Lauper: Live from the Hollywood Bowl,” will air Sunday, Oct. 5. This two-night concert event honors Cyndi Lauper as she concludes her international Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour.
Lauper—who is a GRAMMY®, EMMY®, and Tony Award winner and a 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee—will be joined by an all-star lineup of performers.
