The Queen’s Crown To Mark Jubilee Celebrations, Artist Chris Levine and Asprey Recreate

In this exclusive video, acclaimed artist Chris Levine and Asprey announce a collaboration to create a new work based on his celebrated portraiture of the Queen. 1000 white brilliant cut diamonds are being painstakingly set in platinum by Asprey’s exacting craftsmen and overlaid onto the original holographic image of Her Majesty, created by Levine in 2004.

The installation will go on public display for four weeks as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. The collaboration, entitled ‘The Diamond Queen’, is a historical, one-off edition which will be sold through sealed offers during the month of June. The proceeds of the sale will be donated to two of the Queen’s charities, The Woodland Trust and QEST.

Chris Levine comments: “The use of diamonds in this artwork is a kind of alchemy, using light and its magic force to generate huge positivity. I’m very happy that this work can be helpful to so many people through the support of these worthwhile causes.”

The installation will be exhibited between 28th May and 27th June 2012 at the Asprey flagship store on 167 New Bond Street, London W1S 4AY.
