The Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee & L.A County Metropolitan Transportation Updates

The Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) are teaming up to deliver guests up to 50% off their admission price for the Super Bowl Experience Presented by Lowe’s event in Downtown, a unique fan experience leading up to Super Bowl LVI. The partnership is designed to encourage guests to take full advantage of the LA area’s robust mix of transportation offerings to facilitate safe and reliable navigation throughout the city.

Thousands of guests are expected to visit the Los Angeles area the week of the Super Bowl, each with unique transportation needs. The Los Angeles area offers a full menu of transit options – including bus, rail, and more – to accommodate their movement around the city. Limited parking availability means strong planning will be essential to ensure a seamless and accessible experience for fans.

“We look forward to delivering an unforgettable, first-rate Super Bowl experience,” said Kathryn Schloessman, CEO, Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee. “That starts with ensuring fans have the resources necessary to safely and effectively navigate the city, from utilizing the LA Metro to navigate Downtown to the fan shuttle service at SoFi Stadium on gameday.”

Transportation preparedness will be especially important for fans visiting the Super Bowl Experience Presented by Lowe’s, taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown. The event offers fans an authentic professional football experience, including opportunities for player autographs, photos with the Vince Lombardi trophy, interactive games, sponsor displays and giveaways, youth football clinics, and the NFL Shop presented by Visa.

Fans are highly encouraged to take full advantage of LA Metro, particularly when attending events in Downtown, where public parking is limited. Fans should be aware that the Convention Center’s West Hall, South Hall, and Venice Parking Garages will be unavailable for public parking from Friday, February 4 through Monday, February 14. The Host Committee has provided a list of Downtown Los Angeles parking options.

Fans who take LA Metro to attend the Super Bowl Experience Presented by Lowe’s are eligible to receive 50% off their general admission ticket at the box office (excluding the SBXtra fast pass). Fans must show their TAP Card at the Super Bowl Experience box office to receive the discount. Full details are available at www.superbowl.com or through the NFL OnePass app.

The LA Convention Center is accessible via Metro by taking the A Line (Blue) train, E Line (Expo) train or J Line (Silver) bus and exiting at Pico Station. The Convention Center is one block away on Figueroa Street. To plan your trip, download the Transit app or visit www.metro.net. TAP cards can be purchased from TAP vending machines at all Metro Rail stations. Riders can also use their smartphones as a TAP card by downloading the TAP app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Similarly, the Host Committee encourages fans to practice preparedness when traveling to and from gameday at SoFi Stadium. Transportation options will deviate from a typical gameday experience, with no parking options on-site. Shuttle services will be available from various parking locations away from the stadium. For updates on Super Bowl LVI gameday transportation, please visit parksuperbowl.com to book your parking spot.

To avoid traffic congestion and the hassle of parking near SoFi Stadium, Metro will be running its free bus shuttle service between the C Line (Green) Hawthorne/Lennox Station and the stadium on Sunday, February 13.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be serving as a trusted public transportation partner for Super Bowl LVI and we are looking forward to providing an outstanding experience for the tens of thousands of sports fans joining us from all over the country,” said Stephanie N. Wiggins, CEO, Metro.  “We invite attendees of the Super Bowl Experience event as well as the game to grab your TAP card and join us for a safe, enjoyable and car-free ride that will save you both time and money.”

Super Bowl LVI marks the highly anticipated return of the event to the Los Angeles area for the first time since 1993, and more than five decades since the region hosted the first ever Super Bowl in 1967.

The Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee and its partners are committed to harnessing the incredible spotlight of the Super Bowl to showcase and uplift all that the region has to offer. The ample benefits for local businesses and communities surrounding the Super Bowl depend on the support of fans and their ability to navigate the city safely and efficiently.
