The Los Angeles College of Music (LACM) has announced a partnership with the Subvers!ve Music Foundation (SMF) to provide scholarships for the popular “Rap & Hip-Hop Change the World” summer course. The program offers full and partial scholarships to students with financial need, aiming to inspire a new generation of hip-hop artists and musicians.

- Duration: Week-long session, June 24-28th
- Focus: Artist development, lyrics, writing, beat-making, and other skills
- Target Audience: Students passionate about making a positive impact through music
- Scholarships:
- Full and partial scholarships available for students with financial need
- All tracks must feature lyrics with positive messages
- Instructor:
- Jameel “Jproof” Roberts, a Grammy-nominated producer and LACM faculty member
- Co-produced Usher’s hit song “Good Kisser” and contributed to Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next”
- Worked with artists like Lizzo, Meek Mill, and Elle Varner
- The Subvers!ve Music Foundation:

- Aims to support youth in creating non-violent, drug-free music
