Nature’s Path Hand Delivers Gardens For Good Grant

Nature’s Path Hand Delivers Gardens For Good Grant to South Los Angeles Community Farm. Upholding their annual tradition of empowering urban garden projects to grow organic food and nourish their local communities, Nature’s Path has awarded South Los Angeles Community Farm $5,000 to support local gardening efforts.

South Los Angeles Community Farm will hold a gathering to receive the grant and celebrate the honor. Nature’s Path will hand deliver a Food52 Garden Tote, a MyGardenPlanner “success bundle,” (an online planner that guides the process of creating an edible garden), and Nature’s Path goodies including an apron and a commemorative plaque. The South LA Community Farm empowers children and adults to reconnect in their community through health awareness, collective labor and the foresight to contribute in the development of low-income communities.

Nature’s Path and South Los Angeles Community Farm representatives will be present for interviews and a garden tour. Nature’s Path Organic Foods is North America’s largest organic breakfast and snack food company and produces USDA and Canadian Certified Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified breakfast and snack foods sold in grocery and natural food stores in over 50 countries around the world.

Committed to the triple bottom line— socially responsible, environmentally sustainable and financially viable, Nature’s Path works diligently to support communities and champion the cause of people and planet. Nature’s Path created their Gardens For Good program in 2010 to support the amazing impact of local community gardens, especially ones with limited access to fresh foods. Every year since its inception, Gardens For Good has provided grants to nonprofit organic community gardens. As a part of their community giveback programs, Nature’s Path also holds their annual Eat Well Do Good events and “foodraisers,” inviting the local communities to put their compassion into action with their generous donations of organic food and funds for those in need.
