NATPE Content First ANNOUNCES 2015 MARKET & CONFERENCE THEME:

More than 5,000 industry leaders spanning across all areas of the media business will descend upon Miami’s Fontainebleau Resort for the 2015 NATPE||Content First Market & Conference, taking place a week earlier next year from Tuesday, Jan. 20 through Thursday, Jan. 22. Committed to serving as a catalyst in the content revolution, NATPE’s 2015 conference will take shape under the banner theme “CONTENT WITHOUT BORDERS,” NATPE President and CEO Rod Perth announced today.

“At no time in our industry has there been as much change as we are experiencing today. All of us are recalibrating how we monetize content because technology continues to improve access to new platforms. Advertising will continue to drive monetization because audiences are being measured no matter how or where they watch,” says Mr. Perth. “Our business is increasingly interdependent, and past silos between new and old media are disappearing. One constant remains, which is that fresh ideas and great story telling from every corner of the globe are at the core of how we use new technology by keeping audiences engaged. Our business truly exists without borders.”

NATPE will once again unite content creators and producers, Hollywood studios, international distributors and buyers, digital publishers and platforms, and advertisers and brands in a big-tent atmosphere where meaningful business and networking opportunities take place amidst important conversations that will reimagine and reinvent the future of the content business.

The association is working with its highly respected advisory committees, whose individual areas of specialty will help make the “Content Without Borders” theme come to life by developing relevant conference components focused on each of the most important growth sectors of the business.

Beginning in 2015, NATPE will continue to expand on its highly regarded digital commitment with a market within a market.  Content providers will be able to take advantage of NATPE’s international breadth of buyers and sellers to meet and transact business with multi-channel networks and other digital content platforms in a dedicated digital market setting, including exclusive screening theatres.

Reality programming is a top priority for NATPE, and an entire track as well as a full day of activities will be devoted to the world of non-scripted television and formats. Highlights will include key panel discussions, case studies, structured pitch opportunities and informal meet and greets.

The conference program will be comprised of tracks that have proven to be must attends in recent years. These include “Game Changers,” featuring the world’s top broadcast, digital platform, advertisers and production companies, who have a record of being bold by confronting legacy business models;  “Masters of Marketing,” who represent the leading edge of how storytellers and producers are debating the opportunities and potential jeopardy of marrying creative visions with brand marketing objectives; “Storytellers and the Shaping of Pop Culture,” featuring creative icons who have shaped the characters that live in our hearts; “Platforms Accelerated,” spotlighting visionaries behind the technologies changing the industry today; “Global Navigators,” focusing on leading international companies and content from around the world; and finally, “Access to Insight: 30 Minutes at C-Level,” a series of “master classes” with trend-defining media industry leaders, executives and creators.

The 2015 market and conference will take place a week earlier than in previous years, following the three-day Martin Luther King Jr. U.S. holiday weekend, offering a great opportunity for a getaway to Miami in advance of the market and conference. Housing for registered NATPE attendees opens Friday, Sept. 19. NATPE will be partnering with the Miami Beach Convention & Visitors Authority to develop special holiday weekend packages for those interested in coming early to enjoying the weather and vibrant culture that Miami Beach has to offer. The new time frame is also advantageous to those whose plans require them to attend both NATPE and RealScreen, empowering exhibitors and buyers to attend both events – and thereby enabling more business to be done.

NATPE||Miami is the “Market of the Americas,” dedicated to creating the first – and most important – must-attend market of the year for the linear and digital content communities, and increasingly for advertisers and brands. NATPE provides the big-tent environment where deals start, and then get done across every platform.

The annual Market and Conference will once again be held at the Fontainebleau Resort, Miami Beach (Jan. 20-22, 2015). NATPE also produces NATPE||Europe, Prague Hilton Hotel, Czech Republic (June 22-25, 2015) the premier market for the dynamic and evolving content industry centered in the CEE.
