The evening air was alive with excitement as the Plaza de la Raza’s School of Performing and Visual Arts Complex hosted the second annual Power2Workers Fundraiser and Award Gala, an event dedicated to celebrating and empowering the working-class heroes of Los Angeles. Power2Workers, a nonprofit organization founded by Margaret White, organized the gala with the mission of creating sustainable employment opportunities in the construction industry and strengthening local communities through affordable housing projects.

Power2Workers, a dynamic, woman-led organization, has been a force in the Los Angeles area, connecting residents with meaningful careers in construction and offering training, mentorship, and job placement services. Reflecting on the theme of the night, Margaret White noted, “The work we do at Power2Workers is about more than just job placements; it’s about giving people the opportunity to achieve the American Dream. Tonight, we celebrate the individuals and organizations who are dedicated to that cause and who understand the transformative power of opportunity.”

The gala served as a reminder of Power2Workers’ commitment to uplifting working-class communities, with attendees and honorees alike sharing a vision for a Los Angeles where sustainable employment helps build resilient communities.
