Lionsgate Unveils Official Trailer for Psychological Thriller “The Housemaid” – In Theaters December 19, 2025

Lionsgate has dropped the chilling official trailer for its upcoming thriller THE HOUSEMAID, set to hit theaters nationwide on December 19, 2025. The film, helmed by acclaimed director Paul Feig, brings to life the twisted, suspense-laced pages of the best-selling novel by Freida McFadden, now adapted for the screen by Rebecca Sonnenshine.

Set behind the opulent walls of the mysterious Winchester estate, THE HOUSEMAID stars Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried in a tense, psychological drama where wealth, power, and deception collide. Sweeney plays Millie, a woman desperate to escape her past who takes on a seemingly perfect live-in job as a housemaid. But the glittering promise of stability quickly gives way to a dark undercurrent of secrets and manipulation — with the lives of everyone in the house hanging in the balance.

“A sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power awaits — and just when you think you’ve figured it out, THE HOUSEMAID throws in another twist,” the studio teases.
