Kenny Rogers First Posthumous Album: Life Is Like A Song

Country music icon Kenny Rogers may have departed, but his voice continues to reverberate in the hearts of fans through his posthumous album, “Life Is Like A Song”, released today via UMe. The compilation, tenderly curated by his widow, Wanda Rogers, comprises of eight unreleased recordings from 2008-2011, in addition to two cherished rarities.

Rogers’ unique musical range is showcased in this album, which features covers of classics like Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful Tonight” and Lionel Richie’s “Goodbye”. Noteworthy is the much-sought-after duet with Dolly Parton, “Tell Me That You Love Me”, introduced in a never-before-released, newly remixed version. The digital deluxe edition includes bonus tracks “At Last”, originally by Mack Gordon/Henry Warren, and Buddy Hyatt’s original, “Say Hello to Heaven”.

The album carries the wisdom of life, love, family, and loss that Rogers shared throughout his six-decade-long career. Standout tracks include “Catchin’ Grasshoppers,” a heartfelt ode to Rogers’ twin sons Justin and Jordan, and “Straight Into Love,” a duet with Australian country star Jamie O’Neal.

Wanda Rogers expressed her excitement to share these tracks with Kenny’s fans, stating that the humble singer would have been proud of this compilation. The album is now available in CD, vinyl, and digitally, marking the first non-Christmas studio album by Rogers in ten years and the only non-compilation/non-reissued full-length album released on vinyl since 1991.

Stream or purchase “Life Is Like A Song” now and let the legacy of Kenny Rogers resonate once again.
