HIM: What Would You Sacrifice to Become the Greatest of All Time?

In theaters September 19, 2025 — Visit the official site at www.HimMovie.com

From Oscar® winner Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions—producers of Get Out, Us, Candyman, and Nope—comes HIM, a genre-defying horror-thriller that slices into the dark heart of fame, obsession, and the relentless pursuit of greatness. With a haunting lead performance by Marlon Wayans and a breakout role for Tyriq Withers, HIM delivers a chilling, character-driven descent into psychological torment and athletic ambition.

A Rising Star’s Shattered Dream
Cameron Cade (Tyriq Withers), a rising football quarterback, has devoted his identity to the game. On the verge of a professional breakthrough at the annual scouting Combine, he is brutally attacked by an unhinged fan—leaving him with a traumatic brain injury that threatens to end his career. Cam’s once-bright future dims, until a legendary figure emerges with an unexpected offer.

A Hero’s Help Comes at a Price
Cam is invited to train at the secluded, ultra-exclusive estate of his idol, Isaiah White (Marlon Wayans), an eight-time championship quarterback and cultural icon. Joined by his influencer wife Elsie (Julia Fox), Isaiah promises to rebuild Cam’s body and mind. But beneath the glamour and high-intensity training, something sinister stirs. As the bond between mentor and protégé deepens, Isaiah’s charisma twists into control—and Cam finds himself spiraling into a reality far darker than he could have imagined.

An Unsettling Transformation
The question shifts from whether Cam will make it back into the league—to whether he will make it back at all. The intensity of Isaiah’s mentorship exposes not just Cam’s physical limits but the fragility of his very identity. The deeper he goes, the more he must ask: What would you sacrifice to become the greatest of all time?

A Vision-Driven Cast and Crew
The film also features Tim Heidecker (Us), Jim Jefferies (The Jim Jefferies Show), MMA fighter Maurice Greene, and music stars Guapdad 4000 and Grammy nominee Tierra Whack, making their feature film debuts. Their presence enriches the film’s layered tone—a mix of surreal tension, cultural commentary, and horror-rooted unease.

Directed by Justin Tipping (Kicks), HIM is based on a Black List screenplay by Zack Akers & Skip Bronkie (Limetown) and Tipping himself. Produced by Jordan Peele, Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson for Monkeypaw Productions, and executive produced by David Kern and Kate Oh, HIM continues Peele’s tradition of turning genre storytelling into cultural introspection.

Why HIM Is Unmissable This Fall:

  • Mentorship Turned Menace
HIM reinvents the mentor-protégé dynamic with unnerving power. Isaiah’s influence starts as salvation but mutates into something possessive and predatory.

  • Football as a Psychological Arena
The high-stakes world of football serves as a backdrop to a deeper horror—where mental resilience, ego, and body image collide in disturbing ways.

  • Unexpected Casting, Unexpected Tension
From comedic heavyweights to first-time film performers, the cast brings a raw, unpredictable energy that enhances the film’s off-kilter atmosphere.

  • A Jordan Peele-Produced Horror With Depth
Known for elevating horror with social commentary, Monkeypaw Productions ensures that HIM is more than just suspense—it’s a meditation on identity, performance, and control.
