Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Lola Astanova’s musical journey began at a young age when she entered the V. Uspensky Specialized School of Music for Gifted Children. Her prodigious talent quickly became apparent, and she embarked on a path that would lead her to become one of the most revered pianists of our time.

Astanova’s rise to prominence reached new heights on 19th January 2012 when she made her Carnegie Hall debut, a milestone that attracted attention from the New York Times. The publication noted her taste for drama and extreme physicality in her playing, acknowledging her unique style. Astanova has continued to captivate audiences worldwide with her emotionally evocative performances.

During a special Tribute to Vladimir Horowitz gala concert, hosted by the legendary Julie Andrews, Astanova had the honor of performing alongside esteemed American pianist Byron Janis, a student of Horowitz.
