Fifth Harmony (5H), America’s only teen pop female vocal group, burst out onto the music scene debuting their first single “Miss Movin’ On” to record breaking numbers at radio on June 15th. The song premiere and interview on “Saturday Night Online with Romeo,” which is syndicated to more than 100 U.S. radio stations, lead to the show’s biggest digital night ever beating out the previous records set by guests. After their appearance, “Saturday Night Online” was the top trending topic in the U.S. on Twitter and globally for several hours. The girls will perform their debut single “Miss Movin’ On” for the first time on television on The Today Show on July 18th.
Fifth Harmony, which was put together by Simon Cowell from individual contestants Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, and Camila Cabello on the second season of The X Factor, chose “Miss Movin’ On” after demand for original music mounted via Twitter from the group’s fans, The Harmonizers. “Miss Movin’ On” will be released via online retailers on July 16th while the Hannah Lux Davis (Cher Lloyd, Ciara, Sean Kingston) directed music video will debut on VEVO July 15th.
Fifth Harmony are a major force online, becoming one of the most viewed vocal groups on You Tube in the last year with over 45 million views of their songs. They also have multiple trends worldwide every week on Twitter. The lyric video (in which the girls are framed in a Vine-style app) and the song audio for “Miss Movin’ On” have earned almost two million YouTube views combined.
Thanks to their show-stopping vocals, undeniable charisma, and genuine sisterly bond, Fifth Harmony have attracted a growing, devoted fanbase. “Miss Movin’ On” is the first single from Fifth Harmony’s upcoming debut album, which will be released by Epic Records and Syco Music later this year. The girls have been in the studio working with The Suspex (Demi Lovato), The Monsters (Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez), J Kash (Kesha, Avril Lavigne), Lil’ Eddie (Usher, Pink), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie) and others. Multi-platinum-selling producer/songwriter Julian Bunetta (One Direction, Natasha Bedingfield), who worked with the girls on The X Factor, is executive-producing the album.
On July 15th, Fifth Harmony hit the road for a nationwide mall tour, which is being launched in conjunction with #HarmonizeAmerica, a campaign designed to give fans a voice. In return for their support, fans will have the opportunity to win a guaranteed spot to see Fifth Harmony perform at each of their mall events. Catch Fifth Harmony on tour this summer!
