Apple TV+’s global hit “The Afterparty”stars Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao,

Apple TV+ has released the highly anticipated trailer for the second season of its critically acclaimed murder mystery comedy series, “The Afterparty.” The show, created by Chris Miller and Phil Lord, will premiere globally on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, with the first two episodes launching simultaneously. Over the following weeks, fans can expect a new episode every Wednesday until September 6, 2023.

“The Afterparty” is a genre-bending comedy that delves into the perspectives of various characters as they recount a fateful evening. Season two brings back the talented trio of Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, and Zoë Chao, alongside a stellar cast including John Cho, Paul Walter Hauser, Ken Jeong, Anna Konkle, Poppy Liu, Elizabeth Perkins, Jack Whitehall, Zach Woods, and Vivian Wu.

This season’s storyline revolves around a murder that disrupts a wedding, turning every guest into a potential suspect. Detective Danner (Haddish) reunites with Aniq (Richardson) and Zoë (Chao) to solve the mystery by interrogating family members, star-crossed lovers, and business partners. Each suspect recounts their version of events, bringing unique perspectives and visual styles to the narrative.

Produced by TriStar TV and Sony Pictures Television, “The Afterparty” is part of Lord and Miller’s extensive television deal. Chris Miller and Anthony King serve as co-showrunners for the second season, with Miller and Lord as executive producers.
