This year’s program boasts a diverse lineup, with 43% of films directed by women, 36% by BIPOC filmmakers, and 17% by LGBTQIA+ filmmakers. There are four World Premieres, three North American Premieres, and four U.S. Premieres. The festival represents 49 countries and includes 20 Best International Feature Oscar® submissions.
Notable films include the World Premiere of “LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND” directed by Sam Esmail, the Centerpiece film “MAXINE’S BABY: THE TYLER PERRY STORY” by Gelila Bekele and Armani Ortiz, and the closing film “MAESTRO,” directed by Bradley Cooper.
