As a celebration of amazing performance, Maui Jim, the world’s fastest growing maker of premium polarized sunglasses, will debut Kekoa (SKU # H427-04W), a new, limited edition sunglass that will be available exclusively at Sunglass Hut in the United States and at select retailers worldwide when The Amazing Spider-Man movie debuts in July 2012.
Emulating Spider-Man’s webbed eyewear, the sunglasses feature a lightweight Red Web Grilamid frame and lenses with webbed mirroring. The lenses are lightweight polycarbonate in HCL Bronze. Webbing on the lenses is seen by someone looking at the glasses, but not seen by the person wearing them. The lenses feature Maui Jim’s proprietary PolarizedPlus2® lens technology that blocks 100 percent of UV rays, 99.9 percent of glare and enhances colors.
A limited number of 7,200 sunglasses will be produced; and each sunglass is individually numbered. The glasses come with a custom-branded case, storage pouch, and packaging; and are priced at $219 (US MSRP). The eye size is 68mm; bridge size is13mm; and temple length is 127mm.
