Four Eco Green Trends To Connect With In 2014

1. Eco-superior products. Going green is becoming more popular, but consumers have more of an incentive to buy eco-superior products: products that aren’t just eco-friendly, but also perform better than their non-green counterparts. According to, you can expect to see numerous brands start taking aim right at the heart of traditional alternatives: stressing the superior quality and design, increased durability and/or lower running costs of products. Look for brands that offer ‘tree-free’ paper and disposables made with plant starch. You’ll find these products are not only earth friendly but cost conscience and made as good-sometimes even better than their non-green counterparts.

2. More accurate green claims. The Federal Trade Commission has proposed amendments to its Green Guides, in order to help marketers avoid making misleading environmental claims. The guides advise marketers to move from using blanket, general green claims to more defined statistics to help consumers more clearly understand products environmental impacts. Look for products that are USDA Bio-Preferred to know what you are really purchasing.

3. Green travel. One of the green travel trends for 2013, the concept of voluntourism, or volunteer tourism, which is expected to be, integrated more into green travel programs. Zero-carbon hotels are also opening in Europe, and there are plans for green hotels in Asia as well. Right here in the US, we will continue to see a trend of hotels ‘going green’. Look for table tops advertising green initiatives in hotels you stay at this year.

4. Green building. Finally, green building consultant Jerry Yudelson predicts an increase in buildings use of solar power, and that designers will institute more ways to reduce buildings water consumption in response to the global water crisis. He adds that U.S. green buildings will continue to thrive under the Obama administration, as announcements of a commitment to a minimum of LEED Gold for all new federal projects and major renovations represent a focus on going green in the executive branch.

GBK Introduces Hollywood to Earth Berry’s, An Amazing Eco Laundry Cleaner!

Look out for the new wave in cleaning your clothes -These natural ‘soap nuts’ rival the cleaning power of any of the major laundry detergent brands, minus all the nasty chemicals and animal testing that’s usually common. The best part is they pack a powerful cleaning punch for just 4 cents a load – a mere fraction of other pricey laundry detergent brands!

Earth’s Berries are the fruit of the Sapindus Moukorrosi tree, which grows in India and Nepal. You certainly wouldn’t want to bite into one of these berries that have a high concentration of saponin, the foaming agent that makes them the perfect natural cleaner. Water activates the saponin, making them practically made for laundry.

Earth’s Berries will slash your spending on laundry detergent. Consider that a 50-ounce bottle of conventional detergent will cost anywhere from $10 to $14, and will do about 26 loads. Now consider Earth’s Berries: for $43 ($31 + shipping), you will have enough to do 350 loads…even if you do a load every day, your berries will last almost a full year. Plus, because Earth’s Berries put natural softeners back into fabrics, you can save even more by cutting out chemical-laden fabric softeners. Power-Up with them at
