Dead Man Down is an upcoming neo-noir thriller crime film by Danish director Niels Arden Oplev, starring Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, Dominic Cooper, and Terrence Howard. This marks Niels Arden Oplev’s first film since the acclaimed Swedish international hit The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, also starring Noomi Rapace (as Lisbeth Salander) and with its soundtrack composed by Jacob Groth. It is scheduled to be released on March 8, 2013. Early trailers for the film feature a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” performed by Kendra Morris.
Victor (Colin Farrell) is an enforcer to a New York City boss (Terrence Howard) who was responsible for the deaths of Victor’s wife and daughter, an act for which Victor seeks revenge. Victor turns detective when his boss is under threat from an unknown killer. During this he is seduced by Beatrice (Noomi Rapace) who blackmails him into helping her with her own search for vengeance.
