Soft launched in Q1 2012, Metan Development Group (Metan) has unveiled a proprietary ranking system for Western celebrities in China, the “Metan Meter,” created as a guideline to measure the popularity of Western celebrities in China. The Metan Meter analyzes China’s top social and digital networks and applies a scoring system based on a proprietary statistical formula and weighted measurement techniques to determine the relative order of popularity.
